Josephine Taylor Dickey
Josephine Elizabeth Taylor Dickey was a life-long Grand Junction resident and community leader known for her charitable giving and her involvement with the Handy Chapel, the non-denominational church that her great-great-grandfather, William Austin, helped build in 1892.
Josephine also worked as teacher’s aide for School District 51, volunteered for a number of local organizations, and served on the board of directors for several organizations including the CMU Cultural Advisory Committee. It is for this work we honor her by giving back to the phenomenal educators in her community that work tirelessly to brighten the lives of the children they teach. |
